If they are posting tips like removing dents with a plunger and painting your car for $100, they will not be interested in correct tire pressures, preventive maintenance, or a SBC swap.

i guess so! the forum is about if its 'OK' to leave it in their car. I doubt it would be anywhere as good as a road hummer.

They might not be interested in learning about proper tire inflation, fuel octane requirements, etc but they should be.

I say we start posting about checking tire pressure levels and the like incessantly until they get the point. Or, someone makes a post and we all check in and recommend it to the top.

Admittedly, there were a few I didn't know: vinegar to prevent ice build-up, and hand sanitizer to de-ice your windshield. Although who has that much hand sanitizer? I think the old $1.99 plastic ice scraper is probably still the way to go... But use Rain-X, clean your headlights with toothpaste, put a sticky mat on your dashboard, and use a plunger to remove dents? (um, yeah, good luck with that) They remind me of infomercials.

Hand sanitizer is alcohol based so sure it will do the trick.

It's like the "fill your washer fluid reservoir with vodka and water" post that was linked.

Is $1.99 a gallon for the blue stuff really breaking the fucking bank? The cheapest vodka I could find, Fairnoff Vodka, is $4 for a 750. They say three cups plus water per gallon. Given that a 750ml bottle is less than 4 cups it's STILL more expensive to mix your own.

The cheap paintjob is actually not too bad, to be honest. The example they used is a fairly ugly one, since they apparently decided to color-match painter's tape or something, but still a great start. Maybe shell out a bit extra to include a clear coat and primer and you could get it done really well for still under $200.
